Barclays closed the highest number of bank branches in the United Kingdom between 2019 and January 2023, and it plans to close a further 41 branches by the end of 2023. As of January 2023, TSB ranked second in terms of already closed branches, although the number of planned closures was significantly lower than Barclays'. Out of the observed banks, HSBC had the highest number of planned branch closures in 2023.
