Breakdown of commerce purchase categories among mobile shoppers in Australia 2020
The results of a survey among Australian mobile shoppers showed that bill payments, at 59 percent of respondents led the list of mobile commerce by category in 2020. The source also revealed that food & drink, grocery, and health & beauty categories witnessed year-on-year increases, at respectively 52 percent, 40 percent, and 34 percent, possibly as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the survey recorded only one percent of consumers using mobile commerce for digital currency.
