In the second quarter of 2020, when Chile had already declared a state of exception due to the COVID-19 outbreak, around 21 percent of respondents said they would go back to shopping in physical stores once the pandemic subdued. In the third quarter of 2021, that share decreased to nine percent. Meanwhile, Chileans who stated planning to keep shopping exclusively online went from 12 percent to 20 percent.
