According to a 2021 survey on media consumption in Australia, members of Gen Z consumed an average of 14 hours of free subscription streaming services each week. For Matures, the generational cohort aged 75 and over, this figure was much lower at just two hours per week. Free video streaming services include platforms such as YouTube, Tiktok, and Facebook.
