EV purchase likelihood in the U.S. by consumer age group 2021
Millennials were the age group most likely to consider the purchase of an electric vehicle in the United States as of April 2021. Almost half the millennials surveyed reported being somewhat or very likely to consider buying an electric car. By contrast, only 32 percent of the Baby Boomers surveyed declared having an interest for the vehicle segment. The likelihood to consider the purchase of an electric vehicle also depended on consumers' previous EV knowledge.
