Battery electric vehicle registration in the United States by state 2020
In 2020, California boasted the largest all electric vehicle fleet, at approximately 425,300 units. This volume dwarfed registrations in all other states, with second-in-the-ranking Florida recording some 58,200 battery electric vehicles in use on its roads. That same year, alternative fuel light vehicles represented some 10.5 percent of sales in the United States.
