Car purchasing intention in the U.S. by vehicle type and living area 2021
According to results from a 2021 survey, 13 percent of U.S. consumers living in a rural area would purchase a fully electric vehicle. In contrast, a quarter of participants from these areas reported an interest in petrol or diesel cars. Most of the U.S. population is urban, with California leading the way in terms of urbanization. The Golden State also boasted the largest charging infrastructure network in the U.S. In contrast, charging stations were harder to access in rural areas.
