Increase in fraud attempts to e-merchants due to the pandemic 2021, by region
According to a 2021 study, the share of online merchants reporting increased fraud attempts since the COVID-19 pandemic is above 75 percent in three out of four regions surveyed. North America is the only region where less than 70 percent of participating e-commerce merchants reported increased fraud attempts due to the crisis.
