The COVID-19 pandemic brought up many challenges besides the health aspect, including transitioning to distance learning. In 2020, while nearly 36 percent of the non indigenous households with minors had access to computers or tablets and the internet, only 10.7 percent of indigenous households did so. Moreover, merely 23.5 percent of indigenous households with children had cellphones and internet. Non indigenous households had advantage in access to all different information and communication technologies.
