Social media platforms usage in Ukraine and Russia 2021

According to a survey conducted in November 2021, almost 70 percent of social media users in Ukraine used Facebook, compared to 7.7 percent of social media users in Russia. Overall, 64.2 percent of Ukrainian social media users used YouTube, whilst 19.4 percent of Russian social media users used the platform. Russian online networks Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki had the highest penetration rate among Russian users, with 29.5 percent and 21.6 percent, respectively.
