In Africa, TikTok's potential advertising reach was higher in Northern Africa compared to Southern Africa. As of April 2023, some 35 million people in Northern Africa could be reached by advertising on the social media platform, compared to just under 13 million in Southern Africa. TikTok is growing quickly globally, becoming one of the main players in the social media market.
