Czechia: internet penetration by gender 2022

The use of the internet increased for both women and men in the observed period in Czechia. The increase was often steady, with more men using the internet than women. However, the gender gap in internet usage decreased overall, reaching around five percent in 2021.

CATI and CAPI survey types were used.

Survey for the year 2022 was carried out on 6779 individual persons aged 16+ and 4049 reached households, the data was subsequently converted through post-stratification with respect to the whole population aged 16 or older which amounted to 8,8 million people and 4,5 million households.

The value is the percentage of the total number of Czechs aged 16+ in the given year and of the given gender who used the internet at least once in the past three months.
