As of September 2023, approximately 31 percent of surveyed respondents in the United States planned to do their holiday shopping on Black Friday as well as Cyber Monday, an e-commerce term that refers to the Monday after the Thanksgiving weekend. These two occasions, also known to American consumers as a popular retail event by its joined acronym BFCM, fall on 24 and 27 November respectively in 2023.
