Most eaten plant-based foods in Japan 2023
Soy milk was the most consumed plant-based alternative to animal-derived foods in Japan, according to a survey conducted in January 2023. Around one-third of respondents drank soy milk within the past year, whereas only 1.2 percent tried plant-based egg substitutes.
