Awareness of plant-based meat substitutes in Japan 2023
Around one-third of Japanese consumers were familiar with plant-based meats alternatives. As revealed in a survey conducted in September 2023 in Japan, over 16 percent of respondents stated that they know about plant-based meat substitutes, with another 21.9 percent having heard about such products.
