Agricultural land area & production value Latin America

In 2011, the agricultural land in use in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to 770 million hectares. This number steadily declined in the decade afterwards, reaching 755.1 million hectares in 2018, and increased again to 759 million ha in 2020 and 2021.

The value of agricultural production, on the other hand, has overall increased in the same period, starting out at 485.98 billion international U.S. dollars in 2011, and surpassing 581 billion in 2019. In 2021, the value of agricultural production in Latin America and the Caribbean reached 587.49 billion international U.S. dollars.
