UK Survey: Share of people who signed a petition in Great Britain 1983-2011 This statistic shows the percentage of people who signed a petition in Great Britain from 1983 to 2011. In 2011, this was 37 percent. In the survey, participants were asked "have you ever done any of these things about a government action which you thought was unjust and harmful?" Participants were given a number of options, signing a petition being the most common positive response.
