Main social networking site preference in the United Kingdom (UK) 2013-2017 This statistic displays the findings of a survey on the main social networking site preference in the United Kingdom (UK) between 2013 and 2017. In 2017, it was found that the main social networking profile of social media users was Facebook with 70 percent of responding individuals claiming it as their most used social networking profile. During the same survey period, 16 percent of respondents pointed to WhatsApp, when asked about their main social media account. The amount of social media users that claimed Facebook as their main account shrank by 16 percent between 2013 and 2017.
