WhatsApp was the most used social media platform of internet users in Ghana aged 16-64 years, according to a survey conducted in the third quarter of 2023. It accounted for close to 92 percent of internet users in the country. This was then followed by Facebook and TikTok with approximately 77 percent and 65 percent, respectively. Moreover, Telegram was the second most preferred direct messaging platform in the country with 43.5 percent of respondents who shared this sentiment.
