Grammy Awards - number of viewers 2000-2020

In 2020, just 16.54 million Americans watched the Grammy Awards ceremony, down from 17.95 million a year earlier. Viewership has been declining for several years, and has more than halved since 2012. The Grammys are not the only awards show to suffer viewer losses, and questions about the appeal and relevance of awards shows to the U.S. public have been raised after years of declining viewer numbers for the Oscars, the Golden Globes, and the MTV Video Music Awards.
