According to the source, most time was spent on the internet (140 minutes), followed by television with 112 minutes and radio (78 minutes). A different survey conducted in 2016 found that the most used medium in Norway was the social network; 90 percent of respondents stated to have consumed it at least once a week which was an increase of 5 percent compared to 2014. News websites (80 percent of the individuals interviewed) and broadcast television (66 percent of respondents) ranked second and third respectively. Especially younger people tended to use online media - for example about two third of 16 to 24 years olds spent at least once a week on streaming music, whereas only 14 percent of Norwegian respondents aged 55 to 65 years have used this service.
