This statistic shows the daily social media usage rate in Sweden from 2010 to 2016, by age group and gender. The younger generation were the most active social media users. People aged 16 to 25 years had the highest daily social media usage rate (78 percent of men and 92 percent of women). However, people aged 26 to 35 years have used social media daily more often than teenagers aged 12 to 15 years. Another clear tendency was that females of each age group had a higher daily usage rate than men. From individuals aged 46 to 55 years, 47 percent of men have used social media daily which was 18 percent less than women of which 65 percent have used social media every day. Over the last 6 years the daily social media usage rate in Sweden has grown by 30 percent. In 2016, 58 percent of people in total have visited social media platforms on a daily basis in Sweden.
