Meat retail purchases distribution in France 2018, by channel

This statistic shows the distribution of retail purchases of meat in France in 2018, by channel. We can see that in 2018, with a share of nearly 45 percent, a majority of meat purchases were made in French hypermarkets. Supermarkets came second with a share of 21 percent. Around 2 percent of produced meat was sold at local markets, whereas 9 percent was distributed via specialist retail stores.
