In 2018, the best-selling paperback frontlist children's book in the United States was the film tie-in edition of 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' by Jenny Han, which sold over 142.8 thousand copies. Han's book was originally released in 2014, and was adapted into film four years later by director Susan Johnson. The movie was well-received by review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes, who praised the cast and the inclusion of relatable characters. Also in the top five paperback frontlist books in the children's category was 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' by internationally successful British author J.K. Rowling.
