
Brazil: share of adults with diabetes 2008-2018, by gender
When asked if they have been diagnosed with diabetes, approximately 8.1 percent of female Brazilian respondents claimed to have that metabolic disorder in 2018, down from 9.9 percent of the women surveyed in 2016. This figure was higher than the share of male Brazilian respondents who claimed to have been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, which reached around 7.1 percent in 2018.
