Bill Gates is Still America’s Richest Man By Far

For the 20th year running, Bill Gates has been named America’s richest man by Forbes Magazine. The well known business magnate and former CEO of Microsoft has a massive fortune of $72 billion. Even though he stepped down as Microsoft’s CEO in 2000, he remains the company’s chairman.

Warren Buffett is the second wealthiest person in the United States, worth $58.5 billion. This year alone, the investor added $12.5 billion to his immense fortune. Larry Ellison, co-founder and chief executive of Oracle Corporation, rounds off the top three. The 69-year old is worth $41 billion.
