Millions of people across the UK are using insecure passwords. A new analysis conducted by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)
found that "123456" was the most widely used password
on accounts breached by cyber attacks
. It appeared more than 23 million times while the second most popular was "123456789" which was documented 7.7 million times. The other entries in the top-five included "qwerty" (3.8m), "password" (3.6m) and "1111111" (3.1m).
