Have you already found the perfect Christmas tree? For many American families, the perfect tree is still stored in the attic or cellar, primed for an instantaneous and stress-free appearance for the holiday season
. While a plastic tree certainly negates the hassle of buying an unwieldy, heavy and prickly pine, some families can't look beyond the real thing. They are a distinct minority in the U.S. today, however, with a recent YouGov poll
finding that only 15 percent of people plan on buying a real tree this holiday season.
The artificial option
is the overwhelming favorite these days and 38 percent of Americans say they are going to use a plastic one which they already own this year. 11 percent of those polled said they will buy a new plastic tree in time for the holidays. Just over a quarter of Americans, 26 percent, say they won't have any Christmas tree this year.
