Apple's App Store Set For 5 Million Apps By 2020

At the end of 2008, there were just over 5,000 active apps in Apple's App Store. By the end of 2015, that figure grew to 1.75 million, according to an analysis conducted by SensorTower. That is expected to grow even further to 2.93 million by the end of this year. SensorTower projects that the App Store will hit 5.06 milllion apps by 2020.
