Global consumer trust in organizations' data management and protection 2019

During a global December 2019 survey, it was found that 82 percent of respondents stated that they trusted online shopping websites a lot or at least a little to manage and protect their personal information. Social media providers were the least likely to be trusted by consumers, with only nine percent of the respondents stating that they trust companies in this sector a lot to manage and protect sensitive information.
