A November to December 2019 survey revealed that 84 percent of internet users worldwide had taken at least one step to protect their online activities and personal information. Most commonly, online users cleared or disabled cookies and limited information shared on social media Almost a third of respondents stated that they stopped using public Wi-Fi on order to better ensure data privacy.
