A consumer survey revealed that shoppers in the United Kingdom (UK) started their holiday shopping mostly in the first half of December and the second half of November. According to a 2019 study, 21 percent of UK shoppers begin their holiday shopping journey between December 1-15. The most popular dates following this was the second half of November, which coincides with Black Friday and Cyber Week. After the UK, that date was the most popular with German shoppers. 19 percent of those surveyed for this study stated they did their holiday shopping in the last two weeks of November.
