Market volume shares of sheep milk cheese in Italy 2014-2018, by retail channel

As of the period between 2014 and 2018, the highest market share concerning the purchase of sheep milk cheese was registered in hypermarkets, where the market share volume reached 20.5 percent in 2018. Supermarkets and convenience stores followed, with a volume of 37.1 percent and 15.1 percent during the same year. Wholesale was found to be not very popular in this sector, as the market share of sheep milk cheese was on average 1.4 percent during the period considered.
