After entering Italy, Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been spreading fast. As of April 2, 2020, the total number of cases reported by the authorities reached 115 thousand. The North of the country was mostly hit, and the region with the highest number of cases was Lombardy, which registered 46 thousand of them. The neighboring regions of Emilia-Romagna and Piedmont registered 15,333 and 10,353 cases respectively. The virus in the country has hit mostly individuals older than 50 years.
