On July 2, 2020, there were 18,264 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Scotland. The Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board has the highest amount of confirmed cases at 4,858, although this is also the most populated part of Scotland. The Lothian health board has 3,151 confirmed cases which contains Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. On July 2, one new death were recorded in this 24 hour period in Scotland.
