In 2019, the annual expenditure on cereals, animal protein, and other food in Indonesia was equal to about 176 billion U.S. dollars. It was expected to increase to 191 billion U.S. dollars by 2022. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, cereals and animal protein industries in Indonesia were predicted to cope well.
