Consumption of barley in Algeria 2016-2021
In 2020/2021, the total consumption of barley in Algeria reached 2.55 million metric tons. This was an increase compared to the previous year and represented a peak in the period under review. From 2017 onwards, barley consumption in the country increased annually. Barley is among the leading types of cereals produced in Algeria.
