During the Christmas period in December 2020, U.S. consumers spent a total of 87.2 million U.S. dollars on gaming apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This figure is up from the 68.9 million U.S. dollars spent on during Christmas in 2019. Gaming apps accounted for the majority of global consumer app spending during the festive season.
