The OTA recovery after the impact of COVID-19
With the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, online travel agencies experienced a dramatic reduction in bookings as countries worldwide enforced travel restrictions to address the health crisis. After two very challenging years for the tourism market, travel companies showed strong signs of recovery in 2022. Meanwhile, the global revenue of Expedia Group, Inc. rose by nearly 36 percent compared to 2021.
