Opinions about barriers for women in business in Italy 2020
According to a recent survey, there was a widespread awareness in Italy that women face unequal opportunities in the business world compared to men. In particular, 71 percent of the respondents agreed that women face less access to the same salary levels as men, even when they have equivalent levels of experience and skills. Moreover, less access to leadership positions was an issue for 69 percent of the respondents. In addition to this, 60 percent of the Italian respondents reported that women face less access to professional training, promotion and career advancement than men, a percentage considerably higher than that registered in other G7 countries.
