Yearly growth in global downloads of most popular iOS app categories 2021
In 2021, finance apps saw a global increase in downloads from the Apple App Store of approximately 17 percent compared to the previous year. Tool apps experienced modest growth in yearly downloads, with users worldwide amassing 2.27 billion downloads of tools apps, up only by three percent compared to 2020. In 2021, mobile social media and productivity apps saw approximately two percent fewer downloads than in the previous year, respectively.
