As of the third quarter of 2023, WhatsApp was by far the most used and favorite social media platform in Spain. Up to 91 percent of the country's internet users used the instant messaging app, while networks like Instagram and Facebook followed were used by around 76.9 and 69.7 percent of online audiences, respectively. TikTok and X were accessed by around 51.2 and 45.4 percent of users each, while Telegram and Facebook Messenger accounted for a share of 43.9 and 36.7 percent respectively.
