Discussions by influential accounts on alternative social media platforms 2022
According to a June 2022 study, prominent accounts on Gab posted more about the topic of guns than any other selected subject of discussion, with 80 percent of influential accounts posting about the topic. Overall, prominent Gab accounts posted about guns, abortion, the LGBTQ community, vaccines, and the January 6th attack more than any other examined platform. For Truth social, firearms were also the most talked about topic with 64 percent, followed by the January 6th attack, with 62 percent.
