In 2021, the transport and tourism industry spent approximately 6.8 million U.S. dollars on cinema advertising in the United States, up 29 percent from 5.3 million dollars in the previous year. Despite the annual increase, the 2021 figure amounted to little more than one-fifth (20.2 percent) of the 34-million-dollar expenditure seen in 2019.
