Japan: number of online complaints by industry 2023

In the first half of 2023, non-store retailers received the highest number of consumer complaints and bad reviews posted online in Japan. Non-store businesses engaged in mail-order retailing received 1.4 thousand negative evaluations on online platforms like social networking services. Over 1.2 thousand bad reviews were directed at retailers specializing in furniture, cosmetics, second hand products, and other products.
