Importance of product sustainability in Taiwan 2023, by consumer age
According to a survey about sustainable consumption conducted by Rakuten Insight in Taiwan in December 2023, around 30 percent of respondents aged above 54 years said that it was very important to them that the products they purchased were sustainbly-made/packaged or environmentally-friendly. In comparison, 27 percent of the youngest respondents shared this opinion. Different from the survey results in Hong Kong, consumer age in Taiwan was not a big factor when making sustainable purchase decisions.
