Unemployment rate in the U.S. broadcasting industry 2001-2019

In 2019, just 2.5 percent of all private wage and salary workers in the U.S. broadcasting industry were unemployed. This is substantially lower than the six percent reported five years ago, although not all industries in the United States have seen this kind of improvement. In the same year, the motion picture and sound recording industry had an unemployment rate of 6.5 in 2019.
