
Penetration of audiobook consumption in the U.S. 2018-2019, by ethnicity
Audiobook consumption among Black and Hispanic Americans dropped sharply between 2018 and 2019, yet increased among White adults. During a survey, just 13 percent of Black respondents and 15 percent of Hispanic adults stated they had listened to at least one audiobook in the last year, marking a decrease of five percent from the 2018 figure.
