Leading DIY retailers in Denmark 2010-2015, by retail space This statistic shows a ranking of retailers of so-called ‘do-it-yourself’ (DIY) goods based on retail space in Denmark from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, Jem & Fix, owned by Harald Nyborg, had roughly 199,500 square meters of retail space in Denmark. This retailer was constantly growing over this five years period and was leading in selling DIY supplies. The second largest DIY retailer in Denmark was Bauhaus with a total size of 149,800 square meters of retail space. During the past five years, this retailer grew slowly in size, but did not record any growth between 2013 and 2015. XL-Byg, which is the leading DIY retailer in Denmark based on number of stores, had an equal development. This retailer, which was formerly known as Ditas, recorded a slight decrease in size between 2010 and 2012, but recovered and grew from 115,825 square meters in 2013 up to 118,900 square meters in 2015.
