In the second quarter of 2022, T-Mobile US generated an average revenue of 48.96 U.S. dollars per branded postpaid phone user. The average revenue per branded postpaid user is over ten U.S. dollars higher than the average revenue for prepaid customers.

T-Mobile's customer base

Currently, T-Mobile US has a total of more than 110 million subscribers, a number that has been growing steadily since the company entered the U.S. market. Since the third quarter of 2015, the company has had a few contract types for consumer customers to choose from. The most popular option is the branded postpaid contract, followed by the branded prepaid contract. T-Mobile also sells wireless services through its wholesale segment.

Loyal customers

T-Mobile US has struggled to retain their customers in the past, as churn rates fluctuate regularly for both their postpaid and prepaid segments. However, both postpaid and prepaid churn rates decreased in the first quarter of 2022.
